SECTION III - TIMELINE

Project starting & ending dates and explanation of proposed timeline:
List and explain when you propose to begin and end your project. Why does your project need to be undertaken during this time frame? Does it coincide with the academic school year, a natural growing season, etc. Must it be done only during this time or could it take place at any time of the year?

SECTION IV - BUDGET

Budget:
The total amount requested from WIN in each category must appear in the amount column. WIN does not require a specific percentage of matching, or-kind contributions, however the amount of matching or in-kind dollars could influence your projects ranking with other projects.

Personnel expenses:
Please list any additional personnel expenses that will be incurred as a result of your project such as hiring student help, additional staff, consultant fees, etc. You must include the number of hours you will need this person(s) for and the hourly or per diem rate at which you will reimburse them.

Material & Supply Expenses:
You must itemize all materials necessary to complete your project. You must include an exact amount and a unit price. Obtain estimates of expenses when available prior to filling out this section. For example, 100 stamps @ 0.37/stamp = $37.00 or 3 reams of computer paper @ $5.98 ea. = $17.94. You can round up to the nearest dollar amount. Use an additional sheet if necessary. Materials and supplies are consumables, they will be used once (paper, stamps, seeds, plants, fertilizer, etc.). List tools and similar items under Equipment.

Service Expenses:
If you are unable to provide all services yourself or through your sponsoring agency you may request funds from WIN. For example, if you developed brochures you would need to provide us with an estimate from a printer (100 2-color brochures at $1.03 ea. = $103.00). Rental of equipment or space would also fall into this category.

Equipment Expenses:
Please give the estimated cost of any equipment you wish to be purchased with grant funds using formal quotations where available. Equipment is considered a capital expense rather than a consumable supply such as paper, stamps, fertilizer, etc. Some examples from past grants include tools, a lawnmower, soil sampling equipment, and laboratory test kits.

Other Expenses:
Itemize any other expenses that you feel do not fit into any of the above categories here.

NOTE: If you are requesting funds for printed materials or signs please be prepared to show a rough draft of the item to the task force at your face-to-face meeting.

Total funding requested from WIN:
Add up all the expenses itemized in the amount column Section IV.

Project total:
Project total: What is the total cost of your project including the monies requested from WIN and your in-kind/matching funds? Please include all other sources of funding and in-kind services in the space provided below. You may show these expenses in the budget sheet, however only include the amount requested from WIN in the amount column. It is best to separate out the in-kind and matching items from the items requested from WIN by using the bullets in the budget sheet.
Example: Personnel Expenses · Consultant 25 hours @ $10 hour Amount Column $250. · Consultant 25 hours @ $10 hour ($250 in-kind) Amount Column $0

Will this project utilize grants (other than WIN) or other sources of direct or in-kind financial support?
If you answered yes please list all of the other sources of funds either received or presently applied for (other grants). Also list in-kind support such as your salary (if employed by the sponsoring agency) or material, supply & equipment already obtained. Again, these items should be listed in the budget sheet also, but not in the amount requested column. p>
