Planting in January?! ABSOLUTELY!
Many of our native plant species require freeze & thaw for their seed casings to germinate. January is the PERFECT time to plant… if there is snow! We will provide seeds and the carrying medium. Afterward, join us back at the office for hot chocolate, coffee, and snacks!

This is one of several upcoming educational training events for potential and current volunteers and members. Our goals for these training events include building a knowledgeable volunteer corp to assist Root-Pike Watershed Initiative Network as well as creating a more environmentally literate society. For each class, you will receive a packet of informational material to take home, and many will involve fieldwork during the session.
