Root-Pike Watershed Initiative Network
Root-Pike WIN is a grassroots collaborative that currently administers three programs that are designed to meet its mission to preserve, promote, and protect land and water resources in the Root-Pike Watershed.
- Watershed-based Grant program that funds projects up to $10,000. Click on this link to learn more about the program and view projects we have funded in the past. You can download a grant application form below. Grants are awarded once ayear in April. The next deadline for submitting a grant is February 1, 2011.
- Rain Garden Initiative that provides workshops on how to build a rain garden to reduce polluted storm water runoff. - Keep Our Waters Clean project, funded by 17 municipalities and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, that provides information and education to the public improving water quality in southeastern Wisconsin. - Root River Inventory project (newly funded) that will feature an interactive web-based map depicting studies and restoration activites recently completed, underway or planned for the Root River corridor.
